Great game! Hitting that Heroes of Might and Magic nostalgia bug for me.
Are you planning to enable us to dismiss unwanted heroes? I find my self with too many heroes and want to remove them from the roster, to make it easier for me to scroll to heroes I want to keep. The camp/tent feature is very cool, but still takes up the space.
Really adoring this game so far! I'm roughly 2 hours into it I'd guess and so far it's been a blast figuring things out. One thing that is annoying though (or maybe I just don't know the button to get out of it?) but I've stuck at the "Your character got a level-up!" screen twice now and unable to get out of the window (and I don't see any X I can just click to get out of it).
edit: oh wait nvm im an idiot and didn't realize i was supposed to choose from the choices that aren't the top 2. I thought since they were blacked out I couldn't choose them but now i see ;w;
Really like the game, but it keeps crashing on me at random points. Until that's sorted out it's difficult to enjoy it fully. A bit disappointed after paying for it, but willing to wait for updates. Hope a lot of the bugs get worked out soon.
The plan is to get a page up on itch io where you can redeem a steam key if you've bought the game on itch io. Maybe it'll work differently. Maybe it'll take a bit longer to get steam key. But you get the idea.
Can you currently play on a team with friends? Or is it something planned for future content? Would love to play with friends rather than against them.
I have had a few more crashes on playthroughs that are killing my campaings. I just want to say this game is amazing and I know you are working on the bugs! It totally deserves all the hype it's getting right now
Game will randomly just lock up during an AI turn, no crash, no error message, just totally freeze up with a partially filled "turn bar", animations of resources and stuff continue in the background indefinitely.
Any future plans for an online multiplayer experience? I’ve played the game quite a bit and I can see how that would be difficult at this stage especially with ironing out single player issue/bugs. Would like to know if it’s an idea for the future
hey can someone help me, my UI size reverts after every battle so i have to constantly change it, and i also just played for 3 hours, saved my game and relogged and i had no load option.. help?
sounds like the game isn't able to save data at all. Any idea why? Try running as administrator? No space on hard-drive? Running game without extracting from zip?
Playing tutorial and the player level up to apprentice screen pops up (after defeating zombies). There doesn't seem to be an option to close the pop up or get around it. Restarted and, same thing. Is there a close option on this screen or am I supposed to do something?
I had that too. You have to select one of the upgrade options (not all are selectable) to get a 'done' button. I also had a 'docks' pop up that wouldn't go away, and on that I just pressed esc to get rid of it.
I absolutely love the combo of itch.io for a DRM free copy, with a steam key in order to access steam community features.

saw a couple of videos about your game on youtube from creators who follow indie games. I immediately went and downloaded the demo. I think the game is great I have been a big fan of hero's of might and magic since it came out definitely plan to buy the game when it come's to steam (actually as I type this, I think I'll also buy it now on itch.io).
I really like what you did and from a visual point of view I think having the armies unit moving around the heroes on the map is an absolutely wonderful idea. It make's looking at the map more enjoyable and is pretty fresh (I have played all the 4x fantasy games I could lay my hands on and I don't think I ever saw it), even though it brings nothing to the gameplay it enhance's the game greatly for me.
I also want to add that as a software engineer myself I am really impressed by anybody who can develop such a project by himself (or mostly by himself). It is clearly a product of love. Please continue

As a huge fan of Heroes of Might and Magic III, I can see where a lot of inspiration for town designs, resources, magic systems, and army compositions have been derived. It's great that such a beloved game is still getting attention. I love the combat change from tactical turn-based to real-time auto-battler. Keep it up!
thank you! This was the game I dreamt of when I was a kid playing Heroes of Might and Magic. Well, I think I imagined it a lot more realistic and gritty, but luckily tastes can change hehe
Just bought the game today and i love it ! i was wondering if anyone else is having this bug where the enemy turn just won't end ? i'm playing my first game right now and maybe it's because i'm using my laptop because i'm at my parents place for the weekend and i didn't bring my gaming pc.
I've experienced similar issues on sprawling maps. My laptop is higher end. Takes a bit, but I can get past it essentially by closing and reopening the game until it eventually finishes the turn. Not idea by a long shot. Games is fun though, just gotta get passed that sometimes.
haven'T happened since i played on my high end pc, but on my laptop i ended up starting a new game on a smaller map because it would happen every time no matter how often i'd restart the game.

i have a meduim specs pc but the game randomly kills my pc when i am in a battle no matter how big the battle is everything else is fine
Game will randomly just lock up during an AI turn, no crash, no error message, just totally freeze up with a partially filled "turn bar", animations of resources and stuff continue in the background indefinitely.
Same issue for me. Usually I can get by it by reloading the game, but finally ran into one where it won't load my save file at all.
Drawing quite a bit of RAM as well (averaging over 17GB).
Still love the game though and looking forward to playing more.

Having an issue with some back to back battles. After about 2-3 consecutive fights with an AI hero the game crashes in some form or another.
In this attempt the battle map just went black for a while, then it said I won, followed by a crash.___________________________________________

I get similar issue, notice that the enemies in the top bar isn't showing the 2nd units being killed even though they are.

That has mostly been corrected now. Good place to go with these issues is the Discord server. Developer is very active.
Trying to cast raise undead got me this error
